It is that time of year again as we approach our most fun fundraiser – The Service Auction. Jill Russom has volunteered to organize the event this year, and it will be held on July 16th following worship at the Batchellerville Church. Start thinking about planning a party or making a theme basket, a meal to share, homemade something to offer, or any other item or service. Cards are available from Jill and should be returned ASAP, so we can start thinking about what to bid on!
The Steadfast class will be having their spring picnic on June 14th at the home of Jill Russom on 3rd Street in the village. There will be a social hour starting at 5:00PM with a pot luck dinner to follow at 6:00PM. We extend a special invitation to all women of the church and hope you can join us. Ask Carol Hawley for more details.
On June 6th, the 313th Stated Meeting of Albany Presbytery will be held at our church! The meeting starts at 9:30 am, and registration begins at 8:30. We will need helpers for greeting people and helping them find their way around, as well as set up and clean upfor the lunch in fellowship hall. If you are interested in helping, please let Becca know. For those of you who are interested in what happens at Presbytery meetings, this is also a perfect opportunity to check it out. The part of the meeting where we worship together is always wonderful and a nice way to remember that we are part of a connectional church. Worship will be from 11-12. Please consider attending for all or part of the meeting! All desserts (finger food type) is to be brought to the fellowship hall prior to June 6th. Call Carolyn Learch if you need assistance.
The May Garage Sale Fundraiser will be Saturday, May 6th this year. We will again run a luncheon in the fellowship hall as well as an outside garage sale. We need donations of Soups, Chili, breads, and baked goods. Let Carol Hawley know what kind of soup, bread, or baked goods you would be willing to make.
Timeline of events:
By May 4th, please call Carolyn Learch to reserve a table for selling.
All items donated should be marked with a suggested price and brought to the church on May 5th. For those needing help with transporting their donations please call Karen Marion.
Volunteers (Cashiers and Sales staff) are needed to make this a successful event. Let Carolyn Learch know if you are able to help. Set up is May 5th at 9:00am. Clean up starts at 3:00pm on May 6th.

It is time to think about our Easter Cheer boxes. The Presbyterian Women give out 20 to 24 boxes full of goodies to the home bound and those in care facilities that the friendship callers visit. If you know anyone that would like to receive one, please let the church know. You can help by donating some nice spring wrapping paper, Easter grass, or some individually wrapped goodies like juice boxes, raisins, granola bars, crackers, chips, candy, etc. Starting next week, there will be a box in the Narthex to leave donations, We could use some help preparing boxes that need to be covered, and then on April 5th at 9:30 am we will be packing and delivering. Call Carol Hawley to let her know what you would be willing to help with. Those who have received cheer boxes over the years truly look forward to them. PW needs your help to make it happen!
Ash Wednesday is coming up, it will be March 1st – 7PM as the Northville Methodist church.
