Garage Sale

Not to fear. Spring is near. That means that in a blink of an eye it will be time for our Annual Garage Sale. This year the dates are Friday, May 4 & Saturday, May 5th. We will continue with our modified sale format. Stay tuned for updates as the time draws near. For more information you may contact either Peg Schutze or Carolyn Learch. Let’s hope this ugly winter will turn into a perfect spring.

Shrove Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday and our annual Pancake Supper is getting close. Save up your appetites and come fill up before the start of Lent. To be held in the Fellowship hall on Feb. 13th starting at 5:00pm. Donations appreciated.

Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting is scheduled for January 28th after worship.

After worship and before the meeting, steadfast likes to provide a brunch for the congregation. We are asking for somme extra help with the menu, so if you could bring something please let Carol Hawley know. She will be in the kitchen during coffee hour today (Jan 14th) and will appreciate any offers.

Hanging of the Greens

Hanging of the greens will be Thursday November 30th at 4:30pm. A potluck dinner will follow, so we ask everyone who will be joining us either for the decorating/dinner or just for the dinner to bring a dish to share. Please let Barb Sperry know if you will be at the dinner so she can plan accordingly, and let Peg know if you will help with the decorating. This is a time for fellowship and to begin celebration and joy of the Christmas season. We hope many of you will join us.

Halloween party

There is a Halloween party on Saturday, October 28th from 1-3pm. There will be cider, pizza, and treats for anyone 16 years old and younger to come and have a fun time. Make sure you wear your costumes!! Anyone with questions can contact Karen Marion.

End of Life planning workshop

Becca is doing a workshop on planning for end of life. Topics to be discussed include planning the funeral service, cremation vs. burial, preplanning and prepaying with the funeral home, why making advance arrangements is important, talking about these plans with loved ones, and end of life decisions such as living wills, advance directives, palliative care, and hospice. This workshop is planned for October 15th. This workshop is open for everyone, even if you don’t plan on dying any time soon! The best planning is done when we’re not in a crisis situation. Worksheets for funeral wishes are available from Becca whether you attend the workshop or not. Please consider filling one out and filing with the church office.
