Jill Russom has volunteered to organize the event this year, and it will be held on July 10th following worship at the Batchellerville Church. Start thinking about planning a party or making a theme basket, a meal to share, homemade something to offer, or any other item or service. Cards are available from Jill and should be returned ASAP, so we can start thinking about what to bid on!
Starting July 3rd and running until September 4th our morning worship service will be held at the Batchellerville sanctuary at 9 AM and our evening worship service will be starting again at 7 PM at the Northville sanctuary. The evening service will be a Taizé style service and includes a small sermonette and sharing of the Lords Supper every week. We hope to see everyone there!
There will be a luncheon for new members and their spouses and children next Sunday, April 10th at 12:30pm at the home of Jeanne MacCorkle. This is sponsored by the Board of Deacons. Call Jeanne with any questions at 863-4466.
There is an opening on May 8th for altar flowers. If you would like to give flowers that week to honor someone, please let Sally Stankes (the May flower chairperson) know at 863-6925.
The Steadfast class is again hoping for your support for their Mother’s Day Bulletin. For just $1 per name, you can include any mother you wish to honor. Just check to see if the name is already on the list before adding. See Betsy Gunther to be included.
T-Shirts with John 3:16 on the back will be available soon for $17 each. There will be a sign up to order shirts by size and color starting April 3rd. This is being run by Robin Collins.
It’s time again to sign up to make soup, bread, or baked goods for the May 7th lunch held here in our fellowship hall as one of our main fundraisers. Let Carol Hawley know what you can make, and let Chris Desmond know if you can help work in the kitchen. Those wanting to hold their own garage sale on our side lawn should reserve a spot through Peg Schutze. Your profits are your own with donations accepted but in no way expected.
Compassion Sunday is April 3rd. Please remember to bring in household paper or cleaning products as well as personal hygiene products for those that can’t afford them.
Just a quick reminder that the first Steadfast meeting of 2016 will be on April 13th.
There is a tote down stairs for the collection of deposit bottles and cans. Make sure the bottles/cans are clean. They can be left there at any time. The Kendricks are running this project as their Spirit MEG idea.
